About the expert group
The Commission is setting up an informal expert group on supportive learning environments for groups at risk of underachievement and for supporting well-being at school.
The expert group will be composed of up to 18 experts and will start its activities in 2023.
Objectives
The group’s objective shall be to assist the Commission in developing evidence-based policies on the promotion of supportive learning environments and well-being in school at the European and national levels and in individual schools.
The expert group will also assist with the development of implementation paths to support national stakeholders.

- teachers, teacher trainers and school leaders
- school counsellors and educational psychologists
- child and adolescent mental health professionals
- those involved in student, youth, teacher and parents’ organisations and organisations whose activities relate to well-being at school
