European Innovative Teaching Award ceremony
Congratulations to the 2021 laureates!
The 104 laureates of the 2021 edition of the European Innovative Teaching Award were announced by European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel, and Slovenian Minister of Education, Science and Sport, Dr. Simona Kustec, during its official launch event on 16 September 2021.
To celebrate their achievements, we warmly invite you to join us for the online award ceremony on 20 October at 10:00-12:00 Central European Summer Time (CEST).
Prior registration will not be required to watch the live web streaming, which will be available in English only.

Project: ‘IMAGINE’, coordinated by high school Dr. Ivana Kranjčeva, Đurđevci in Croatia in collaboration with partners from Sweden, Italy, France, Spain and Romania.
- Estonian laureate in the secondary education category
Project: ‘Teacher Professional Development in the Light of New Pedagogies’, coordinated by Tartu Tamme Gymnasium in Estonia in collaboration with partners from Spain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy and the United Kingdom.
- Hungarian laureate in the secondary education category
Project: ‘Adapting e-learning and social network-based internet applications to teaching the German language in secondary schools’, coordinated by Zalaegerszegi Zrínyi Miklós Gimnázium in Hungary in collaboration with partners from Germany.

- Slovenian laureate in the primary education category
Project: 'Challenge 21st Century Competences’, coordinated by primary school Bistrica ob Sotli in Slovenia in collaboration with partners from Croatia.
- Spanish laureate in the early childhood education and care category
Project: ‘Planning and Integrating ICT in Kindergartens and Primary Schools’, coordinated by CEIP San Pablo, Murcia in Spain in collaboration with partners from Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Portugal.

Background
The European Innovative Teaching Award is a new European Commission policy initiative, which aims to highlight and reward the work of teachers and schools and to showcase innovative teaching practices.
It also provides an opportunity to highlight the benefits of European cooperation in education through transnational activities.
The European Innovative Teaching Award is an annual flagship event of the European Education Area, the EU’s shared vision for a modern and inclusive European education and training sector fit to face the digital and green transitions, It is funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
