Funding programmes at a glance
Digital Europe programme: advanced digital skills
Supports projects that boost advanced digital skills across Europe.
- € 1.3 billion investment in digital skills, AI, and cybersecurity (2025–2027)
- Open to partnerships (consortia) with members from at least 3 EU countries
- Proposals must align with the EU's digital strategy
European excellence initiative: acceleration services in support of universities
Helps higher education institutions progress in areas aligned with the European Research Area such as
- research careers
- gender equality
- career and research assessment reform
- open science
- institutional research and innovation strategy
€270 million available for applicants from the EU or from Horizon Europe associated countries.
Nordplus Horizontal
Grants for partnerships in the Nordic and Baltic areas. They focus on education and lifelong learning.

Smart & Start – support for startups in Italy
Backs innovative startups and entrepreneurs in Italy.
