Background

It is essential that our youth have a solid understanding of the political systems in which they live, including the EU.

Our society needs active citizens to contribute to shaping their world, even more so during the 2022 European Year of Youth.

Through this new Jean Monnet Action, teachers will be supported to make that difference.

In tandem with the Jean Monnet teacher training Action, schools and networks of schools seeking to enhance students’ understanding of the EU can now benefit from funding support.

For some interesting shared experiences from schools already teaching about the EU, discover the booklet ‘Learning EU at school’.
