Conference on the Future of Europe : the future is in your hands
What is the Conference?
The Conference on the Future of Europe is the first transnational discussion with Europeans on how to address Europe’s challenges together. This is an opportunity to think about what citizens and civil society want for the European Union.
The European Parliament, the Council, and the European Commission have committed to listen and follow up on the recommendations made
How does the Conference work?
Europeans can share ideas via the Multilingual Digital Platform, and both national and European Citizens' Panels. These contributions feed into the Conference Plenaries.
The Conference offers a new public forum for an open, inclusive, and transparent debate with citizens around a number of key priorities and challenges.
How can you participate?
- share your own ideas or support others’ ideas on the multilingual digital Conference platform
- organise your own events and promote it by adding them to the Conference platform
- take a look at the events organised by people across the EU
What will the outcome be?
All of the ideas gathered and reports on events are published on the platform openly and transparently. These reports will then directly influence the discussions in the European Citizens’ Panels as well as in the Plenaries, where citizens will enter into a dialogue with national and European decision makers.
By spring 2022, the Conference will provide guidance on the future of Europe to the European institutions
