SELFIE Forum 2021: Empowering schools for learning in the digital age

The SELFIE Forum will focus on providing ideas and inspiration for schools to create their own digital action plans to assess their use of digital technologies for educational purposes.

7 - 8 October 2021

Inspiring schools

The 2021 SELFIE Forum will bring together the SELFIE community by welcoming

  • school leaders
  • teachers
  • students
  • trainers
  • policy-makers
  • researchers and practitioners in the field of digital education
  • actual and potential users of the tool

The Forum will focus on providing ideas and inspiration for schools to create their own digital action plans to assess their use of digital technologies for educational purposes.

The SELFIE Forum is organised by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in association with the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) and the collaboration of the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL).

SELFIE for Teachers launch

At the Forum, the new SELFIE for Teachers self-reflection tool will be launched.

The tool is designed to support the development of teachers' digital skills – both inside and outside of school.

A dedicated workshop will examine teachers’ digital competences and how the tool can support the planning of professional development in this area.

Work-based module release

The new SELFIE for work-based learning module (WBL) will also be released at the 2021 SELFIE Forum. It will help schools and companies improve how they are using digital technologies in their training and apprenticeship programmes.
