Tools to help you find a job and present your skills in Europe

Use the EURES and Europass tools to help you find a job and clearly present your skills and qualifications.

The European Commission has created various online tools to help you find a job for during or after your studies and to present your skills and qualifications throughout Europe.

EURES job portal

The European cooperation network of employment services - EURES job portal - allows you to search for a specific job type filtered by country, language, level of required education and more. You can also find

  • information about living and working conditions in different countries, including for cross-border commuters
  • descriptions of labour market situations
  • publications and articles about different topics related to employment mobility
  • announcements for international job fairs to meet employers directly

EURES provides this information on 27 European Union (EU) countries, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

Once you’ve found a suitable opportunity, to successfully apply you will need to present your skills, qualification and experience in a clear and concise manner. For this, you can use Europass

Europass portal

Europass helps learners, workers and jobseekers across Europe to effectively communicate their skills and qualifications.

It’s a useful tool to build your CV and cover letters, to gather your certificates and diploma supplements together in one place.

Create a personal profile and reflect on your skills, detail your experience, provide supporting evidence in a familiar format.

EU Blue Card

Don’t forget that as an non-EU citizen, you may need additional documentation, such as the EU Blue Card to work in an EU country after graduation.

Don’t leave it to the last minute to arrange a visa and/or work permit!
