The label recognises the high quality of the proposal and helps other funding bodies take advantage of the European Universities initiative evaluation process.

Despite not having received Erasmus+ funding, several universities alliances have already started their activities. They are currently engaged in building and sustaining deeper transnational cooperation between their institutions.

Among these, 9 universities alliances have received the Seal of Excellence in 2024.
