The community is calling: first Education for Climate Coalition conference
This first ‘community calling’ marks the first gathering of all community members and education stakeholders that have been involved in its co-design with all that have articulated an interest in it. We want to highlight the first milestones in the modelling and design of the Education for Climate Coalition. We will also let you know how you can get involved through community-driven workshops from July to November 2021 to shape the future community.
We are calling on you, the community, to not only take part in the event, but to invite your peers to join it too to make our community an inclusive, diverse, and creative place!
Let us take you on our community journey!

Background
The Coalition was officially launched during the Education Summit of December 2020. Following the coalition design roadmap, a mapping exercise was conducted that was supported by the results of an online survey. Based on this, a series of focus groups and workshops were organised with students, teachers and education stakeholders from March to May 2021.
The focus groups and workshops resulted in co-defining the building blocks of the Education for Climate community and subsequently the modelling of the coalition prototype. This first community artefact was further validated during the prototype closing workshops at the end of May.
This first ‘community calling’ aims to highlight the first milestones in the modelling and the design of the Education for Climate Coalition and Community. The conference brings together all people that have been involved in its co-design and/or that have articulated an interest in it. We will also present how you can get involved through community-driven workshops from July to November 2021 to shape the future community.
