About the online workshop
The online workshop is an outcome of the activities and research of the Digital Education Hub working group (squad) on hybrid spaces, which were carried out between January and June 2024.
What is hybrid education?
The squad defines hybrid education as having students and educators in different places, some online and others grouped in one or several physical locations. The objective of hybrid education is to provide structured teaching and learning in a synchronous way, with the help of technology.
Discussion topics
Participants will discuss topics related to hybrid education, including:
- how it works
- how to setup a hybrid session
- what are the pros and cons
The workshop discussions will be moderated by members of the squad:
- Cristina Obae, PhD researcher, University of Lapland, Finland
- Catalina Mueller, PhD, Visiting Lecturer Esslingen University of Applied Sciences and Hochschule Fresenius, Germany
- Stamatios Papadakis, Assistant Professor, Department of Preschool Education, University of Crete, Greece
- Peter Windle, Head of Technology Enhanced Learning and Lecturer in Computer Science in South East Technological University, Ireland
