Take part in DigiEduHack 2.0 on 6-13 November
DigiEduHack is a contest for innovative ideas on the future of education in the digital age. It returns for its fourth edition this year. The annual theme is “People at the centre of digital education”.
When and where will DigiEduHack take place?
The 2023 Digital Education Hackathon (DigiEduHack) runs 6-13 November with a series of grass-root local Hackathon events across the EU and globally.
This year, the Main Stage event to wrap up the DigiEduHack days will be hosted by the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU in Madrid.
How does it work?
DigiEduHack aims to identify key challenges in digital education and co-create solutions of technical and non-technical nature. At the end, four teams will have the opportunity to win the DigiEduHack Global Awards and get targeted support to implement their solutions.
As of 2023, hosting organisations and participants benefit from more learning opportunities, on-boarding calls and community building activities throughout their DigiEduHack journey.
Who can join?
Any organisation working in the area of education and training can host a local DigiEduHack event. You could be a school, higher education institution, NGO, innovation centre, research lab, public authority, or work in the private sector. We pay special attention to reaching previously underrepresented groups, such as schools, public authorities and NGOs and to ensuring a worldwide geographical reach.
The initiative welcomes participants of all ages and backgrounds, from first-time to experienced hackers.

Background
DigiEduHack ran for three consecutive years under the Digital Education Action Plan 2018-2020. It quickly became one of the European Commission’s flagship initiatives on digital education. The initiative continues under the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027.
