Commission launches Call for Evidence on new Education Package
The Commission is gathering public input ahead of a new Education Package, to be announced this November. Your feedback can help shape it.
As part of the preparation process, a Call for Evidence is now open, inviting the public to give feedback and input on these three main areas:
- Basic skills: helping schools tackle declining performance in literacy, maths, science, digital skills, and citizenship.
- Teachers and trainers: a dedicated Agenda to improve working conditions, career development, and the overall attractiveness of the teaching profession.
- Digital education infrastructure: modernising Europe's digital education systems as AI becomes more central to learning, with a focus on human agency, inclusiveness, and digital sovereignty.
The Call for Evidence invites stakeholders (including schools, teachers and trainers, education authorities, researchers, civil society organisations, and members of the public with an interest in EU education systems) to provide their knowledge and research on these topics.
Contributions may include examples of national legislation and policies addressing the issues, as well as existing successful good practices in these areas.
