Meet the global winners of DigiEduHack 2025

The 2025 four winning solutions range from apps that use artificial intelligence (AI). They help vulnerable youth find opportunities and turn school data into actionable insights about their emotional climate and well-being.

The sixth edition of the Digital Education Hackathon (DigiEduHack) spans across 74 local hackathons in 31 countries all over the world.

Following an expert panel evaluation, 12 highest rated local solutions made it to the final round of public voting. Three weeks and over 2,900 votes later, we have 4 Global Winners!

Beginner Award

This category awards solutions from teams that are new to digital education and have little or no previous experience in hackathons.It also recognises teams thatare bringing a promising solution at an early stage of maturity.

 

Winner: Greenbites

The Seven Bites team won with the Greenbites project from the hackathon Don’t be AIfraid, hosted by Weave SRL in Italy.

Greenbites uses AI to create personalised, healthy recipes, while teaching users how to reduce waste and eat sustainably for a healthier planet.

Winner: PathWise

PathWise is the winning solution developed by the team Les Huntrix during the hackathon DigiEduHack@Tec campus Puebla, hosted by Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico.
    
PathWise is an AI-driven platform that helps disadvantaged students navigate key educational transitions, such as university admissions, through personalised advice and connecting them with local networks and opportunities.

Experienced Award

This category awards solutions proposed by experienced hackathon participants and/or expertise in their fields.

Winner: ANNA – Act Now, Nature Awaits

Team ANNA won with their solution, also named ANNA (Act Now, Nature Awaits) from the hackathon STEAM4Sustainability Hack, hosted by I.F.O.A. (Istituto Formazione Operatori Aziendali), Italy.

ANNA turns learning about the environment into an engaging and social experience. The app enables users to organise local clean-ups, track their progress, identify areas in need of attention, and learn about nature protection.

Winner: EduVhled Engine

EduVlhed Engine developed by the team AOS won the hackathon EduScale Engine: Code the Future of Systemic Change, hosted by 42Prague, Czechia.

EduVhled Engine uses school data to provide insights into the emotional climate, well-being, and communication. It helps schools to understand what works and compare their results and strategies with those of other schools.

A global European Commission initiative

DigiEduHack is a series of 24-hour hackathons held by local organisations to support grassroot innovation and drive positive change in digital education. 

These events bring together students, educators, and innovators to tackle key challenges in digital education, such as emerging technologies, basic digital skills, data-driven education, or access and availability.

DigiEduHack is part of the Digital Education Action Plan.
