This workshop will address creating opportunities for youth entrepreneurship through higher education-business cooperation. It will give the floor to stakeholders from the African and European higher education sectors, researchers and businesses.
The panellists will discuss opportunities and challenges for higher education-business cooperation between Europe and Africa for involved organisations involved and young people entering the labour market.
They will present concrete ways to support universities in becoming more innovative and entrepreneurial and for businesses to gain access to universities’ knowledge and innovations.
Concrete cooperation projects and initiatives supported by the European Union’s (EU) Erasmus+ programme, Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions and HEInnovate will be featured.
The EU-African Union (AU) Summit will take place on 17-18 February 2022. It will lay the foundations for a renewed, deeper EU-AU partnership .
The Summit traditionally leads to the organisation of a number of side events, as part of the Africa Week and the EU-Africa Business Forum, involving various stakeholders from the partnership.
The workshop ‘Fostering higher education-business cooperation: Promoting opportunities for youth entrepreneurship’ is one of these side events, organised by the Commission’s Directorate-General for education, youth, sport and culture (DG EAC).
